Insider reports MAJOR trade rumors regarding Wings goaltender

The Ben Bishop and Scott Darling trade certainly set the table for the goalie market comes the draft and free agent opening day.

Pierre LeBrun wrote an interesting rumor going in the same direction. As per LeBrun, with Darling/Bishop traded, we’ll see if teams in need of a G come calling on Detroit for Mrazek/Howard. Wings I think would listen on each.

Heading into the “Farewell Season at the Joe”, the Detroit Red Wings knew that the goaltending tandem of Jimmy Howard and Petr Mrazek was going to be a strong one. While Howard’s name circulated in trade rumors or as the likely candidate to be exposed in this upcoming summer’s NHL Expansion Draft, it appeared as though everything was set in stone moving forward.
