Trade Rumor: Jets receiving calls for one veteran forward.

As reported by Craig Custance, senior writer for ESPN, the Winnipeg Jets are receiving calls regarding one of their veteran forward. 31-year-old left winger Drew Stafford appears to be on the trade candidate list as we get closer to March 1st. He’s described by the Hockey Writer as “respectable stopgap for a team dealing with injuries among its scoring-line wingers.”

Custance reported that he could see him getting moved before trade deadline. One major reason behind this is Stafford is UFA after this season and Winnipeg has lots of forwards.

Drew Stafford played 39 games this year. He scored 4 goals and registered 8 assists for a total of 12 points.

The 6ft2, 214-pound forward played for the Buffalo Sabres and the Winnipeg Jets
