We have a trade to announce.

According to a report from Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman the Florida Panthers will be sending both forward David Bolland as well as prospectr Lawson Crouse to the Arizona Coyotes, and in exchange they will receive a pair of draft picks.

The draft picks coming back have some conditions attached to them, the first and highest of the two picks will be a 2018 second round draft choice, however that pick becomes a third round draft choice if Arizona chooses not to play Lawson at the NHL level this season. The second draft pick will be the higher of two third round picks currently held by the Coyotes for the 2017 NHL draft.

The motivations behind these moves are clear for both teams, the Coyotes get a very high end prospect in Crouse while allowing the Panthers to dump off a large chunk of salary by clearing Bolland's $5.5 million in cap space, giving them the flexibility to make another big move this season should they feel the need.
