Troubling news regarding the health of star forward Evgeni Malkin.

Hockey players are known for being incredibly tough, but sometimes that attitude can get them into trouble. It now appears that's exactly the case for Penguins star Evgeni Malkin who just recently returned from an injury. He spoke to the media on Friday and made it clear his desire to come back early may have cost him.

"I rushed (previous injury). Came back a little too early and didn't feel good after back-to-back games."

Malkin will now miss his second straight game as a result of his desire to rush back, he previously missed the Penguins Wednesday night rivalry game against the Philadelphia Flyers. There's no official timetable for his return, but Malkin isn't ruling out the possibility of playing Sunday against the Flyers. The Penguins don't have the best track record when it comes to their handling of injured players, this may yet be another example.
