TSN analyst makes shocking statement about Carey Price!

The Montreal Canadiens have struggled to start the 2017-2018 National Hockey League regular season but most of the focus, and the blame, has been on their group of forwards for their lack of production.

While some have also criticized the group of defenseman that they have on their roster this season, one player who has seemingly escaped criticism has been  goaltender Carey Price, this despite an awful start to his season. That may be due to Price's cache as a player, however there are limits to how much people will let slide because of your name, and Price may have reached that limit. 

TSN analyst Ray Ferraro made a shocking statement regarding Price's performance this week, suggesting that any other player in his position would have already been demoted to the American Hockey League.

"If you attach those numbers that Carey Pruce is lugging around right now, if you attach them to any other goalie, he's in the American League," said Ferraro on TSN radio.

It's hard to argue with Ferraro on this specific point, Price has recorded a goals against average of 3.64 this season and has an abysmal save percentage of .883 to go along with it.

"Those are not NHL quality numbers."

Ferraro stated that he expects a goaltender of Price's pedigree to bounce back during the season, however he did add that it is now November and that seems to be a factor that is starting to be a cause for concern in his book.
