The Boston Bruins are hoping the Charlie Coyle trade will pay off during the postseason.

At the trade deadline, the Bruins’ biggest move involved landing Coyle in exchange for Ryan Donato and a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2019 draft, however, fans are still waiting for the veteran forward to break out and become the important boost needed down the middle in Boston.

TSN’s Craig Button does not believe it will happen during the first round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The long awaited rematch between the two rivals kick off tonight, and Button was clear in his analysis on Wednesday that he believes Toronto will come out on top this time around.

He went to add that the Maple Leafs made the necessary adjustments to be the first round winners this spring, by adding John Tavares as a free agent this past summer. He thinks Tavares and Auston Matthews will simply eat Coyle alive on the ice and adds that Zdeno Chara might too old to be a key member of the Bruins’ brass in the postseason.

The analyst did not hold back.

The Maple Leafs might be the underdog in this series, however, Button does not think the Bruins will be able to pull the feat they did last season, despite the changes they made at this year's deadline.

Tavares up front. Jake Muzzin now finds himself on the back end. And the Leafs can also count on Morgan Rielly and Mitch Marner coming off their best seasons.

Button might be on to something, what do you think?

I guess we will get a good idea tonight as the Maple Leafs visit the Bruins in Bean Town.
