TSN anchor Dan O’Toole’s one month old daughter has reportedly been abducted

TSN anchor Dan O’Toole has shared an absolutely heartbreaking message with his fans on social media. His one month old daughter Oakland is missing. Or has been abducted. Honestly, it’s not clear yet and authorities have not made a statement on Oakland’s situation.

Suffice it to say that this is a developing story and we will include more information when it becomes available. In the meantime, I hope and pray that this is some sort of sick joke from someone who hacked O’Toole’s Instagram account. If it is indeed real then I hope and pray for Oakland’s safety and for her to be reunited with her family.

The entire hockey media world on both sides of the border have bonded together in support of Dan and his wife Corrie. Social media sites like Instagram and Twitter are awash with comments in support of O'Toole and hopeful for a safe return for baby Oakland.

Again, I'm hoping and praying that this is all just some kind of sick joke, as we have no confirmation of Oakland's disappearance from the proper authorities just yet. In Canada though, there's a missing child protocol system called "Amber Alert" that effectively alerts all citizens if a child has been lost or abducted. So far no Amber Alert has been issued for Oakland O'Toole.

Dan and Corrie officially revealed Oakland to the world just five weeks ago on May 26th with this heartwarming post to Instagram:

To the uninitiated, O'Toole along with co-host Jay Onrait have been a staple of TSN's Sportscentre for nearly two decades now. The pair had a brief stint in the U.S. with Fox Sports One, only to return to their native Canada and TSN just a few years into their American sojourn. The pair provide comedic relief, but don't mistake them for clowns. These guys both know their stuff. They're knowledgeable sports reporters and well respected by fans, media and the like in Canada.
