TSN host claims several NHL’ers refuse to play for specific team!

A lot has happened in Montreal, and unfortunately, it’s not their first regulation win that is getting all of the attention.

On Tuesday, former Montreal Canadiens coach Mario Tremblay told 98.5 FM Montreal’s Mario Langlois that forward Alex Galchenyuk twice received treatment in the NHL’s drug and alcohol program.

It is confirmed that a player who takes part in the league’s assistance program has the right to do so on a confidential basis and is not obligated to inform his team.

Tremblay’s remarks have been considered a violation of the confidentiality policy and several hockey reporters and insiders reacted to his choice of making this personal news public.

TSN radio host Connor McKenna took this opportunity to explain that several NHL players are not interested in coming to Montreal because of incidents like this. The media is all over the players, dig into personal life events and make them public for everyone to see.

Some fans might be hard on Habs GM Marc Bergevin for not being able to get trades done, but what if it’s because players don’t want to hear his offer at all?
