Tuukka Rask humiliates Maple Leafs with new record!
Zuma Press

We all know how easy it is to link the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Boston Bruins - they keep eliminating the Canadian team in a seven-game showdown during the first round of playoffs.

And the Bruins can’t help but make fun of their rivals and it seems that star goalie Tuukka Rask has managed to humiliate the Leafs with his latest record.

With Tuesday night’s win in Las Vegas over the Golden Knights, Rask set the all-time record for most regular season wins by a Maple Leafs draft pick. The previous Maple Leafs’ record belonged to one-time Bruin Felix Potvin, who won 266 games in his NHL career. 149 of those wins came with Toronto, while all of Rask’s have been with the Bruins.

Potvin was drafted 31st overall by Toronto back in 1990, while Rask was drafted 21st overall by Toronto in 2005.

Bruins surely looked to congratulate the Leafs for drafting such a successful netminder! We all know how hard it can be to draft a great goalie and the Leafs surely deserve credit there!
