Two big updates on rumored trade between the Habs and the Wild.

The Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens have been connected to trade rumors since prior to the trade freeze, and while that initial trade may be dead, the two sides are still interested in making a deal.

While initially it was believed that the Wild were interested in acquiring forward Alex Galchenyuk, TSN insider Bob McKenzie is reporting that those rumors were in fact inaccurate. 

"I don't get the sense the Wild see Galchenyuk as what they're looking towards in terms of a fit," said McKenzie as per Nichols on Hockey.

However there are still talks between the two sides, and that seems due to the fact that the Montreal Canadiens are targeting one of Minnesota's defensemen. McKenzie confirmed that there is in fact interest in Wild defenseman Marco Scandella, although it's unclear at this time how far along those trade discussions are at this time.
