Well that didn't take long.
Only two seconds in to Sunday's matchup between the Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars, Stars' forward Jamie Benn and Bruins' forward David Backes decided to try and give their respective teams a spark by dropping the gloves.
The two men exchange pleasantries prior to puck-drop, and go at it in a spirited bout.
Both men get their shots in, with multiple punches being landed to the head and body of both men.
These two aren't big fans of each other, as the now-Bruin captained the Blues when St. Louis took on the Stars last spring in their seven game playoff series.
