With training camp underway, beginning with a fitness testing at the Boston Bruins’ Warrior Ice arena, two players will have to train without contact for the time being, according to DJ Bean, WEEI.com.

Both David Krejci and Torey Krug are recovering from offseason surgeries and are therefore incapable of contact for the time being. Bruins’ GM Don Sweeny specified that the players are recovering following a hip and shoulder surgery, respectively.

Sweeny went on to specify that both players will be on a “modified contact” program and is hoping they’ll be contact-ready come October 13, when the Bruins have their season opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the TD Gardens.
