The Toronto Maple Leafs are heading to Michigan today to face off against the Detroit Red Wings.
Andreas Borgman and Calle Rosén will be paired together tonight and appear to be fighting for the open position on the team’s defensive line.
Head coach Mike Babcock has spoken very highly of both Borgman and Rosen, who were both signed to two-year entry-level deals back in May.
Both players went undrafted, despite possessing strong skating abilities and other tools that work well in today’s NHL.
Toronto’s oversea scouts might be due for a raise – along with Miro Aaltonen’s success in training camp this year, they’ve landed a trio of potentially important young players for years to come.
