The rumor was everyone was waiting to see who the Jets would sign before making moves, and less than 24 hours after Dustin Byfuglien was signed, the Leafs and Senators announced a major 9 player deal that sent Leafs' captain Dion Phaneuf.
Now as you can imagine, defenseman are at a premium in the National Hockey League, and the word is that general managers in need of help on the blue line are now hard at work to see what options are left available to them, and two names continue to come up.
The first name, and arguably the most valuable of the two players in New York Rangers' defenseman Keith Yandle, although as of right now his availability is somewhat in doubt with the injury to Ryan McDonaugh.From Sportsnets' Elliote Friemdan:
