There were some big injury updates on Monday in what has been a season riddle with injuries to big name players.

First, the big news out of Buffalo was the return of former second overall pick Jack Eichel who has yet to play for the Sabres this season. Eicgel has been out since suffering a major ankle injury in training camp but on Monday it looked like he was either ready to go or extremely close to being ready to go when he participated in full practice with his teammates.

John Vogl of the Buffalo News reported that Eichel was taking reps on the Sabres' top powerplay unit alongside Kyle Okposo and added that he believes there is a possibility Eichel returns as early as Tuesday.

The other big news was the continued recovery of Taylor Hall which seems to be happening at a ridiculously fast pace when considering the initial projections on his injury. Hall was initially expected to miss up to six weeks with the injury, but was on the ice for Devils practice today .

Unlike Eichel Hall will not be returning tomorrow night, however the fact that it's even being talked about at this stage is nothing short of a miraculous recovery from Hall.
