The New York Rangers embarked on what they hoped would be an accelerated rebuild last season when they announced to their fans that they would look to rebuild the team from the ground up.

Although the Rangers are still very early on in the process at this stage they this far appear to have kept true to their word and do appear hell bent on getting as young and as talented players as they possibly can given the current state of their organization. Once again the Rangers appear to have done a pretty solid job of that by making some blockbuster trade moves just prior to the 2018 National Hockey League trade deadline and general manager Jeff Gorton deserves a lot of credit to this talent together. 

That being said though if you thought the Rangers had done a good job of keeping their word and pushing towards the rebuild then you will be excited to learn that another big score may becoming their way given their long term commitment to the success of the franchise.
