Two sources confirm another top defenseman could soon be traded.

We first heard rumblings of this potential trade last week, and now another well respected insider appears to have confirmed it.

In a recent article for TSN Frank Seravalli revealed that multiple sources have confirmed to him that the St. Louis blues are in fact looking to trade incredibly talented defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk

From Seravalli:

St. Louis Blues defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk’s name is out there again, two sources confirmed

Shattenkirk would be a ridiculous addition to almost any blue line around the National Hockey League, and Seravalli believes a player of his status is more likely to be dealt in the ofseason. With that said Servalli admits a deal prior to the deadline is very much a possibility, and don't be surprised if one team steps up with a big offer to attempt to secure him before the aforementioned offseason, assuming of course St. Louis believes that trade would make them a more legitimate threat to compete for a Cup.

Shattenkirk is currently on pace to record 52 points this season, a total some forwards would envy, it would mark his career best.
