Two Capitals UFAs might be gone soon.

The UFA season is a bit like the Far West. Quality players suddenly become free to move wherever the wind will carry them and it's a wild derby to decide who will be the lucky winner. The Caps had a high quality roster last season and now some part of it might be going elsewhere in the league.

According to insider Darren Dreger, both Karl Alzner and Justin WIlliams might soon be on the move.

For Williams, it's a half-and-half type of situation. He's been pretty vocal about his intentions of staying in Washington, but it will depend on what type of offer he may get. He's not getting any younger and he might look for a longer deal or more money elsewhere.

For Alzner, he received lots of calls in the last hours and it appears the pull to go somewhere else is pretty strong. Montreal and Vancouver seem to lead the pack to get him, but anything is possible. The defensive defenseman can bring stability to any roster quickly and it's a pretty seducing prospect for some.

We will follow these rumors closely!
