Unexpected Changes Paying Off

Coach Joel Quenneville of the Chicago Blackhawks has a reputation for blending the offensive and defensive structure of the team in order to give guys a fair shot and maybe end up with a surprisingly effective forward or defensive grouping.

Last game he switched up the defense a bit in a surprising move when he split up Duncan Keith and Niklas Hjalmarsson by pairing up Keith with Brian Campbell.  It turned out to be worth the shot because both defensemen really gave it their all and supported their team in a huge comeback win versus the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Tonight we have the same lineup defensively speaking, except that Michal Rozsival will be getting his debut game of the regular season as Michal Kempny is the healthy scratch for tonight's game. Also on offense Vincent Hinostroza will be sitting out once again to give him a chance to watch and perhaps reassess his role and abilities on the ice.

Tonight's game is a big one as the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Calgary Flames at the United Center at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
