After a dominant performance by the Detroit Red Wings against the Ottawa Senators which saw defenseman Mike Green score his first career hat-trick en route to a 5-1 convincing victory, head coach Jeff Blashill has no intention of shuffling the deck as he tends to do.
Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports that the coach has made only one slight adjustment (due to Justin Abdelkader missing practice today), as Steve Ott features on a line with Frans Nielsen and Riley Sheahan.
The expectation is that Abdelkader, who took a “maintenance day” today, will be reinserted into the lineup, and therefore the forward lines that seemed to be clicking so well last night will remain as is.
Evidently, we’ll have a better idea of the specific plan Blashill has in mind tomorrow. Should all things remain the same, it’s believed that this is the forward group that will hit the ice at Madison Square Garden:
