According to Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy, injured defenseman Torey Krug “will be good” to return to the team’s lineup for their afternoon game today against the Colorado Avalanche.

Krug took a puck to the jaw in practice three weeks ago and has been recovering ever since. Look for him to spot some sort of full-face mask or, at the very least, some sort of jaw protection if he does in fact make his season debut today.

There’s no doubt that the 26-year-old offensive defenseman will be a welcomed addition to the team’s blue line. Krug hit a career high 51 points in 82 games last season and was a big part of the Bruins’ offensive attack, especially on the powerplay.
