Update: NHL team still waiting to hear back from captain

According to a report from The Tennessean writer and Nashville Predators insider Adam Vignan, the Predators are still waiting on a decision from captain Mike Fisher on his future in the NHL.

"He is on vacation, and I have been away and (focused on preparing for arbitration hearings),"I'm hoping to talk to him later this week to see where he's at. I'd say by next week, we should have an update,"  said Preds general manager David Poile.

Poile has been very busy re-signing a bunch of his young up and coming forwards to extensions including Viktor Arvidsson, Austin Watson and Pontus Aberg. Poile is hoping that a deal with his veteran captain can be made as well. Fisher, who has played in over 1000 NHL games with the Preds and the Ottawa Senators, is 15 points away from 600 career points in the NHL.
