Update on Artem Zub isn't good.

More bad news for the Ottawa Senators' blue line.

According to a report on Monday morning from TSN insider Darren Dreger, it sounds like Senators defenseman Artem Zub will be out for the next 2 to 3 weeks as a result of a puck he took to the face last week.

Zub suffered the injury on Friday during a game against the New York Rangers and has been out of action since, including missing Saturday's game against the San Jose Sharks. It would appear that Zub's injury was more serious that had initially appeared, which will now add to the challenges being faced by the Senators' defense.

The Senators already have defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker on injured reserve and it could very well be that Zub is headed in that direction as well.

This is a big loss for the Senators defense with Zub appearing in 14 games this season for the Sens and clocking over 22 minutes of ice time on average over those games. He has 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points on the scoresheet this season and currently boasts 10 penalty minutes a plus minus rating of -1.
