Update on three injured Habs players, some good ,some bad.

The Montreal Canadiens had a lot of news to share coming out of the holiday break, and while the general feeling was certainly one of positivity, it wasn't all good news for the Habs on Tuesday.

First the big news, Tuesday saw the return of two core players to practice with both forward Alex Galchenyuk and forward David Desharnais skating for the first time since their injuries. A player like Galchenyuk is an incredibly important piece of what the Habs do offensively and his improvement is massive news for the Canadiens fan base.

As mentioned before however there was some bad news, the Habs also announced that veteran defenseman Andrei Markov continued to struggle with his injury and would not be joining the Habs on their road trip, indicating he would miss multiple games.

There was no update on Andrew Shaw other than to state he continues to work through his rehab.
