There was some good news regarding Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price this morning but the optimism that caused may have been premature.

Earlier this morning NHL.com's Arpon Basu reported that Price was on the ice for practice for the first time since the team announced he was dealing with a very serious case of the flu, but now it's clear that despite his return to practice he is not ready for game action.

Again NHL.com's Basu is the man with the news, this time revealing that the he has received confrimation that Al Montoya will be the starter for the Habs on Tuesday when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The fact that this decision is made over 24 hours prior to the game indicates Price is still very much recovering, something that was made even more obvious when head coach Michel Therrien confirmed that Carey Price has lost some weight as a result of the flu, and still is not 100 percent.

No more details at this time, and no word on when Price is expected back in the line up just yet.
