The Montreal Gazette has uncovered some disturbing facts about the break and enter robbery of Montreal Canadiens’ captain Max Pacioretty’s South Shore home earlier this week.

According to reports Pacioretty’s home, along with the homes of Quebec television stars Veronique Cloutier and Louis Morissette were specifically targeted, as burglars believed they would contain high-value goods. And, indeed they did, at least in the case of Pacioretty. Both and expensive watch and an unconfirmed amount of cash were stolen from the Pacioretty residence.

Ironically enough, Pacioretty had just sold the home in Brossard’s most exclusive neighborhood for $2 million, but had not yet moved out at the time of the robbery.
