On Monday night the Chicago Blackhawks played versus the Calgary Flames which ended up in a 3-2 loss during shootouts for the Blackhawks.

Unfortunately during that game rookie defenseman Gustav Forsling was injured while taking a nasty hit on the glass.  He sustained an upper body injury and was unable to return for the third period on Monday.

During the week coach Q stated that Forsling would be "day to day" until further notice but it was announced yesterday that he will not be able to play tonight versus the New Jersey Devils. Forsling was not at practice yesterday or today and we have no idea if he will be able to make it for this weekends game versus the Los Angeles Kings.

No updates have been provided about the defensive pairings but someone will have to replace Forsling on the third line with Michal Rozsival.  Perhaps Michal Kempny can take his spot for the time being.

Wish Forsling a speedy recovery and cheer on the Chicago Blackhawks as they take on the New Jersey Devils tonight at the Prudential Center at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
