After suffering a knee injury last season that continues to nag him, Niklas Kronwall was placed on the short-term injured reserve approximately two weeks ago.
While he is not ready to feature in any of the upcoming Detroit Red Wings’ games, it is worrying that he has not yet taken part in any of the team’s practices.
This happened to be once again the case earlier today as he missed the training session held at Madison Square Garden in New York ahead of tonight’s matchup against the Rangers.
There is still no word on when he will begin to participate in team skates, much less when he’s expected to don the Red Wings jersey this season:
