Update: Trocheck stretchered off the ice in Ottawa

In case you missed it, a medical emergency at Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ontario forced a stoppage in play during tonight's game between the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers.

Check out this report courtesy of The Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch:

There is a medical emergency in the building so the final 3:37 will be played before the second period begins.

According to Sens fan and Ottawa Champions baseball analyst Etienne Gauvin, a fan in attendance has been receiving CPR.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the fan and his family.

Now, as if that wasn't enough, when play finally resumed following the break, things got even uglier. Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck ended up snapping his leg while chasing down a puck in Senators' zone.

Check it out:

Trocheck has been stretchered off the ice and we're just now awaiting a medical update from the Panthers.
