Earlier today it was revealed that Calgary Flames superstar Johnny Gaudreau had suffered a major injury and now we have some additional details.

Gaudreau has in fact suffered a broken finger, an injury that will force him to undergo corrective surgery, surgery that in fact may have already taken place by the time you read this, and as a result he will be out of the Flames line up for a significant period of time.

Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman is now reporting that "initial rumblings" put the time frame for Gaudreau's recovery at four to six weeks, making this a disastrous turn of events for a Flames team that was already struggling.

It's not an official time frame, Friedman states we will need to wait a few days for that, but as he is one of the best in the business you can rest assured it's either right on the mark, or extremely close to it.
