Updates on Bergeron and Grzelcyk from the Bruins morning skate.

The Boston Bruins will be making some changes of their own it seems for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. If you happen to have missed our update on the Blues roster moves you can check those out right here.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding the status of 2 Bruins players ahead of Game 3 and thankfully we got some pretty conclusive updates on Saturday morning regarding the status of both of those players. The big story of course is the one surrounding Boston Bruins star forward Patrice Bergeron, one of Boston's most valuable players and considered by many to still be the best 2 way player in the National Hockey League, and thankfully for the Bruins fan base the update on Bergeron is a very good one indeed. 

Bergeron was on hand for the Bruins morning skate on Saturday and that was a huge deal when you consider the fact that the skate before Game 3 was entirely optional for the members of the Bruins roster. The fact that Bergeron was out there for an optional skate leaves no doubt in my mind that he will be available for the game this evening and that much has now been confirmed by Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press. To be clear here I did not hear a single person question Bergeron's availability for this evening after he was spotted out on the ice this morning.

The other story coming into today for the Bruins however was the health of Boston Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk. Unfortunately for the Bruins this update is nowhere near as positive and we will indeed see the Bruins forced to use a replacement as they head into Game 3 this evening. The 25 year old Grzelcyk was of course taken out of Game 2 after a questionable hit from Blues veteran Oskar Sundqvist, a hit that would result in a suspension for Sundqvist. The Blues will of course also be without Sundqvist as a result of his actions but if Grzelcyk is dealing with any type of significant head injury it could result in him missing much more than Just Game 3 of this series. 

Replacing Grzelcyk will be defenseman John Moore who is obviously a downgrade for the Bruins.
