A valuable NHL veteran will likely find himself on a new squad this summer.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Columbus Blue Jackets' forward Scott Hartnell has apparently agreed to waive his no-trade clause for several teams so that they can attempt to deal him.

The 34-year old's general manager Jarmo Kekalainen and Hartnell's agent Matt Oates didn't comment on the report, but sources say that the list of teams provided by Hartnell is "decent-sized".

Hartnell was expected by many to be traded at the deadline, but the Blue Jackets' high asking price drove interested parties away.

Now it seems they are asking Hartnell where he would be willing to go this summer.

Hartnell is coming off his second season with Blue Jackets and saw an 11-point decline in his stats this season, amassing 23 goals and 49 points while under the guidance of Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella.
