For those who are driving to go see the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center might have an unwanted surprise. Apparently, they (the city management) decided to change the law regarding the free parking spots on Western Avenue.

Ald. Walter Burnett Jr.'s 27th Ward office

"The confusion came as Ald. Walter Burnett Jr.'s 27th Ward office expanded restricted parking on city streets during United Center events to include streets west of Damen." said the journalist Stephanie Lulay

From now on, the fans won't be allowed to park their car for free on this streets as they used to do during stadium events.

" Previously, parking was prohibited on city streets during United Center events in an area bound by Lake Street on the north, Ashland Avenue on the east, Jackson Boulevard on the south and Damen Avenue on the west. "
