VERY touching birthday wish for P.K. Subban!

P.K. Subban was traded from Montreal in one of the most covered transaction in the decade by the media. A blockbuster deal of that sort doesn't go on quietly, but Subban's high profile in Montreal made it even bigger. He was highly regarded by all the fans of the Habs, but he still went one step farther. 

Subban decided to sponsor the Montreal Children's Hospital for 10 millions barely months before he was traded. Many thought he would step back from his charitable decision when he was moved, but true to his amazing character, he said his sponsorship would go on to its full length. Needless to say, fans across the league applauded the gesture. 

Yesterday was Subban's 28th birthday. Of course, he received the customary wishes from the Preds and their fans, on top of a large part of the Habs fan base. However, one wish was MUCH more emotional than all the others combined. 

You have to be dead inside to not feel the emotions here. Sometimes, public personnalities seek the cameras to boost their fame. Subban is already high profile and he didn't need the kids to achieve the status. He does what he does for the right reasons and it has a TRUE impact on their lives.
