LA Kings beat writer Curtis Zupke is reporting that the LA Kings have released defenseman Chris Lee from his professional try out.

Chris Lee who spent most of his pro career in Europe was looking to jump to the NHL after being a surprise hit on Team Canada during last year's World Hockey Championships. The 36 year old will now have to look at other opportunities including the possibility of playing for Canada and the Winter Olympics. Lee had 65 points in 60 games last season in the KHL.
