He's not the happiest around.

With the Playoffs out of the picture at this point, the Hextall's crew can now focus on the roster management side of things. With a few players becoming UFA this summer, choices will have to be made.

One of these guys is Michael Del Zotto, a very intriguing player to say the least. His year was cut short with injuries and healthy scratches, something not expected from that level of a player.

He has no illusion about his future with the team. "I know where I am contract-wise. Being unrestricted this summer, there haven't been any talks [with the Flyers]. We'll see what happens."

No discussion with the team yet means two things: either the Flyers will never sign him again, or the team will wait for the market to open and gauge his true value before offering him something significant.

However, he wasn't the happiest of campers with coach Hakstol's choices.

"Last year, I was playing [nearly] 24 minutes a night and have kind of taken a step back this year with the healthy scratches. I wasn't happy with some of the scratches, but it is out of my control."

It will be interesting to see what will happen with Del Zotto. He's still a skilled defenseman, but he's now injury prone and doesn't show the offensive flair he once had.
