Veteran defenseman will miss entire 2019-20 season

In case you missed yesterday’s news, veteran NHL defenseman Matt Hunwick has been ruled out of action for the entirety of the 2019-20 season after failing the Buffalo Sabres’ medical examination.

The 34 year old defenseman reportedly has a neck condition that is putting his NHL future in jeopardy.

Hunwick played just 14 games for the Sabres last season, but managed 42 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2017-18.
