According to ESPN's insider, Pierre Lebrun, Valterri Filpulla will be out for tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens. Filpulla reportedly missed a team meeting earlier today and Jon Cooper decided he'd rather play the Habs without his veteran forward.

The Lightning are already without their star center Steven Stamkos (torn meniscus) and centerman Cedric Paquette (day to day with a lower body injury). Filpulla was pivoting a 2nd line with Brian Boyle and Jonathan Drouin.

Matthew Peca is expected to make his NHL debut tonight and should be the one replacing Filpulla on the second line.
