Another veteran forward is set to make a comeback in the NHL.
The Calgary Flames have announced that they’ve extended a professional tryout invitation to Chris Higgins. The 33-year-old had started his career with the Montreal Canadiens but was never the same player after resigning with them in 2007, with his numbers dropping year after year.
Once a 27 goal-scorer, Higgins is familiar with the Flames as he participated in 12 games with the Alberta team in 2009-2010. He was originally touted as a future 30+ goals sniper, but never found his groove with the New York Rangers nor the Vancouver Canucks.
