Veteran goalie Ryan Miller staves off retirement, signs a one year contract

Veteran NHL goaltender Ryan Miller isn't ready for retirement just yet...

The 40 year old netminder has officially re-signed a one year contract with the Anaheim Ducks for the upcoming 2021 NHL season.

Miller put it best on social media by saying, "Tried out retirement for 9 months (thanks COVID). Decided I wasn’t feeling it."

Miller has been the Ducks' backup the past three seasons, playing 20-30 games mostly behind starter John Gibson. In 23 games last season Miller put up a 3.10 goals against average and .907 save percentage. He's put up a career 2.62 goals against average and .915 save percentage in 780 career games split between the Buffalo Sabres, St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks and Ducks.
