The worst has been confirmed for Minnesota Wild starting goaltender Devan Dubnyk. The netminder is week-to-week with a lower-body injury, the team has announced on Thursday.

Dubnyk left after he made 10 saves in a very active first period against the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night. He played all 20 minutes of the first period, but was replaced with backup Alex Stalock at the start of the second period.

The Wild had released that Dubnyk’s return was questionable and that he was out with a lower body injury, and now things turned for the worst for the Vezina nominated goalie.

With Dubnyk out, the Wild will have to depend on Stalock, who has posted a .905 save percentage in eight games this season.
