With the regular season behind us already, the trophy season is in full swing. Sure, the ultimate prize is still the Stanley Cup, but a lot of individual awards are on the line too. One of them is the Vezina Trophy, awarded to the best goalie in the league.
Here are the finalists:
- Braden Holtby, Washington Capitals
Holtby played 63 games and had a Goal Allowed Average (GAA) of 2.07 and save percentage of 0.925.
- Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets
Bobrovsky played 63 games and had a GAA of 2.06 and a save percentage of 0.931.
- Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens
Price played 62 games and had a GAA 2.23 and a save percentage of 0.923.
With these stats on hand, Sergei Bobrovsky should be the clear winner in the Award night ceremony in June.
