It didn't take long for post-retirement Vincent Lecavalier to share some juicy behind the scenes stories of his time in the National Hockey League.

During an interview with TVA Sports Lecavalier revealed that back in 2009 the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Montreal Canadiens had a agreed to a trade that would send Lecavalier to the Habs. According to Lecavalier at the very last second a member of Tampa Bay's upper management vetoed the trade, and it never took place.

Here's where Lecavalier's story gets crazy however, the rumored return the Lightning would have received back then would have been astronomical according to the former center, with Montreal sending Tomas Plekanec, Max Pacioretty and Carey Price back the other way in exchange.

It would have been a franchise defining trade for both organizations, and one fans of the Canadiens are likely grateful they avoided knowing what we know today about how all four players progressed from 2009 onward.
