A lot of guys talk about the ''good old days'' with melancholy and grief. Oh, how hockey was better back in the days!

Actually, a few perfect nuggets of pure hockey gold get unearthed once in a while and today is one of these times. Back in the 1997, Detroit and Colorado were two of the most powerful teams in the league. Each of their games were intense, playoff-style action that often went overboard. March 26th, 1997 was one of them, when absolute chaos erupted on the ice. Patrick Roy jumped into the team fight, only to be joined by Mike Vernon. The chaos emerged and prevailed at this point!

Enough words and distraction, simply enjoy this diamond of a sequence.

Now that was something! A goalie fight is unique in itself, but all out team fights with the referees totally overwhelmed is another.
