Voracek sums up Flyers heartbreaking season in two words

Philadelphia Flyers star Jake Voracek has made a habit of going viral the past few weeks. When teammate Wayne Simmonds was traded to the Nashville Predators at the 2019 NHL Trade Deadline, Voracek took to social media with a simple goodbye, posting a photo of the two embraced in a hug.

In what ended up being Simmonds’ final game with the Flyers, Voraceck awarded him with the team’s player of the game award. The special moment also went viral.

Earlier this month when Voracek was handed down a two game suspension for a hit to the head of New York Islanders blue liner Johnny Boychuk. Voracek went viral on social media once again when he tweeted out his simple reaction:



Well… Voracek was back in the headlines yet again yesterday afternoon when he savagely broke down the Flyers’ wasted 2018-19 season, saying simply, “We choked.”

Ouch. Hard to disagree though. Once the Flyers turned the corner and entrusted rookie goalie Carter Hart with their season, they seemed to be rounding into a playoff team. But, like Voracek says, everytime they got close… they choked.
