The Boston Bruins are the first team in many years to dress four starting goalies in four separate games.

Zane McIntyre received the nod yesterday as the Bruins’ starting goalie, making him the fourth one in four games. After Rask, Khudobin, and Subban all had their chances (the first two out with injuries, and the latter benched due to performance), McIntyre impressed with some of his saves. He also managed to play the whole game without Claude Julien pulling him in favor of Malcolm Subban.

Although this was his first NHL game that ended in a 5-2 loss to the Rangers, the rookie McIntyre seems to be on his way to develop into a great backup goalie, or even a starter. With experience and more training, it looks like he’ll be a solid goaltender in the near future.
