Watch: Stars score on themselves in the 1st period for one of the worst own-goals ever.

The Dallas Stars needed a big win tonight, instead they got this.

The Stars brought a very lacklustre effort in the first period and as a result the Ottawa Senators got an early 2-0 lead thanks to a little help from Jiri Hudler and the Stars defense.

With just over two minutes left in the first the Stars drew a penalty and made the decision to pull their goalie for a 6 on 5 during the delayed call. Unfortunately that resulted in the Stars scoring on their own net in a play that I won't even bother to describe.

You've got to see it to believe it.
