Wideman injured after being folded in half by Evgeni Malkin.

Hopefully Ottawa Senators defenseman Chris Wideman is going to be alright because this was a nasty looking injury. 

Late in the third period of the match up between the aforementioned Senators and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night, Wideman was involved in a collision with Penguins superstar forward Evgeni Malkin, and Wideman got the worst of it.

Malkin appeared to lose his balance right as Wideman was hunching over in front of the net and when Malkin collided with Wideman he drove all of his weight down on Wideman's back.

The result was Wideman being folded in half under the weight of the big Penguins forward, and when you see the video you'll have no problem believing that it resulted in an injury.

Ouch.
