The Minnesota Wild have announced a very important deal on Wednesday.
According to a report from Mike Russo of the Star Tribune the organization has agreed to a new contract with forward Jason Zucker on a two year deal with an average annual value of $2 million.
It's a bridge contract, and while Zucker had a decent year a bridge deal from the Wild feels like the right move, even if they end up having to a pay a little extra down the line if Zucker does continue to develop.
It's big news but considering the announcement of a two major trades, one involving superstar P.K. Subban and the other involving one of the NHL's best forwards, Taylor Hall, it has flown somewhat under the radar.
