Wild desperately trying to move veteran player!

The Minnesota Wild might have already made a move with veteran defenseman Kyle Quincey, when the team placed him on waivers last week, but they aren't done trying to move him.

Quincey has found himself without a spot on his team's 23-man roster, which has pushed him to land on the trading block.

On Monday, the defender was officially assigned to the American Hockey League, and now Michael Russo of The Athletic reports the Wild are pushing to move the defenseman, who carries a cap hit of $1.25 million this season and counts for $225,000 against the cap while in the AHL.

In 18 games with the Wild this season, the 32-year-old blue liber has posted three assists, while averaging 14:17 of ice time.

The Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Washington Capitals are said to be amongst teams looking for depth on the back end. They might get a discount by helping the Wild to move Quincey.
